Selkirk Base & Precious Metals Project

Overview

The Selkirk Base and Precious Metals Project is a 100%-owned and permitted exploration project located north of Revelstoke, British Columbia, within the well-known Kootenay Arc. Covering 1,666 hectares, the project consists of two properties: Downie Gold Property and the Rift Property.

Rokmaster has been systematically advancing these properties since 2021 through geological mapping, prospecting, channel sampling, and soil sampling which has generated positive exploration results and helped define areas with encouraging mineral potential. The project is primarily being explored for orogenic-style gold mineralization across all three properties. It has also shown signs of additional mineral potential, including a grab sample from the FIM Zone that assayed 0.36% tungsten from a 3.0-metre-wide garnet-diopside skarn horizon.

From an operational perspective, the project benefits from practical access. The Downie Gold property is supported by nearby helicopter access while the Rift property is road accessible.

Downie Gold Property

The Downie Gold Property is a 1,367 hectare exploration project supported by a 3-year MYAB exploration permit that allows for 15 helicopter-supported drill sites and 6 helicopter pads. The project is showing strong indications of orogenic-style gold potential and multiple target areas consisting of the KJ, Melt, and FIM zones.

Geologically, the property covers Index and Aklolkolex Formation rocks situated between the Goldstream Pluton and the Long Creek Stock, a setting that may be favourable for both gold and associated polymetallic mineralization. A key feature of the property is an historical trench exposing arsenopyrite mineralization which is often associated with gold systems. The project has also returned elevated gold values within sulphide-rich mineralization, including pyrrhotite, pyrite, and galena, supporting the view the property hosts a meaningful mineralizing system.

Sampling results have demonstrated the project’s high-grade mineralization upside, notably a 2022 channel sample at the KJ Zone which returned 7.51 g/t gold, 616.14 g/t silver, 7.93% lead, and 1.72% zinc over 3.50 metres. Additionally, in 2023, a grab sample from a garnet-diopside skarn horizon assayed 0.36% tungsten, further expanding the project’s geological interest and helping define the northern extent of the 3.0-kilometre-long FIM skarn horizon.

Rokmaster has been systematically advancing the property through mapping, prospecting, soil sampling, and channel sampling, which has helped outline priority areas for ongoing work, enabling flexibility to move efficiently into the next phases of exploration.

Fieldwork:

  • Systematically advanced by Rokmaster via geological mapping, prospecting, channel sampling, and soil sampling

Notable Findings:

  • 2023 – Grab sample at northern limit of 3km long historically mapped FIM skarn horizon, collected from a 3.0 m wide garnet-diopside which assayed 0.36% tungsten
  • 2022 – Channel Sample KJ6 – 7.51 g/t Au, 616.14 g/t Ag, 7.93% Pb, and 1.72 % Zn over 3.50 meters
  • 2022 – Channel Sample KJ5 – 11.97 g/t Au, 80.0 g/t Ag, 1.37% Pb, and 2.16 % Zn over 1.0 meters
  • KJ Zone – hosts elevated gold in massive pyrrhotite-pyrite-galena mineralization associated with discordant stockwork veins and silicification in limestone rocks
  • Melt Zone – skarn-style massive pyrrhotite and sphalerite mineralization locally hosts elevated gold proximal to the Goldstream Pluton

RIFT Property

The Rift Property is a 299-hectare zinc-lead property and one of 2 properties that comprise the Selkirk Base & Precious Metals Project. The project hosts a mineralized sphalerite-galena horizon, with evidence of high-grade stratabound mineralization at surface and in drilling, highlighting its potential for zinc-lead massive sulphide mineralization. A key historical result came from 1985 drilling, when hole M-85-2, located roughly 460 metres east of the Rift Showing, intersected 22.21% Zn and 4.82% Pb over 1.82 metres. This intercept is considered important because it may represent an along-strike continuation of the Rift zinc-lead horizon.

The property’s surface potential was further supported by 2022 grab sampling, which returned values of up to 35.25% Zn and 8.60% Pb from the main Rift Showing. Together, the drill and surface results point to the presence of a high-grade, stratiform zinc-lead system on the property.

Fieldwork:

  • Systematically advanced by Rokmaster via geological mapping, prospecting, channel sampling, and soil sampling

Notable Findings

  • 1985 – Drillhole M-85-2, 460 m east of the Rift Showing and encountered 22.21% Zn and 4.82% Pb over 1.82 m
  • 2022 – grab samples assayed up to 35.25% Zn, 8.60% Pb from a stratabound massive sphalerite-galena horizon in pelitic schist
