Overview
The Big Copper Project is a road-accessible, copper-silver exploration property in southeastern British Columbia, situated ~50kms west of Kimberley, BC, The Big Copper Project is located close to existing infrastructure, lies within 50 km of the Sullivan Deposit, and is supported by a 5-year area-based exploration permit. Together, these features enhance the project’s accessibility and help position it for efficient ongoing exploration. The project features an approximately 4.5-kilometre mineralized deformation and alteration corridor defined by historical adits, trenches, outcrops, and drill holes, all of which support the presence of meaningful copper-silver mineralization.
The property is underlain by fine-grained siltstones, argillites, and quartzites of the Creston Formation. This is an important geological feature because the Creston Formation is correlative with the Revett Formation in northern Montana and Idaho, which hosts several notable sediment-hosted copper-silver deposits and occurrences, including Spar Lake, Montanore, and Rock Creek. The project also benefits from a strong exploration history, including work by Cominco in 1965 and Pharaoh Mines in 1967, and it has been steadily advanced by Rokmaster since 2018.
